Duties and Responsibilities (include the following, but other duties may be assigned):

As a member of the Accounting Department Team, this analytical and detail-oriented person will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department. Our expectation is that, under the direction of the CFO, they will be involved in the strategic projects of the Company and interact with multiple areas of the business and executive management team members. They will use their skills and experience to:

  • Guide the Company through future growth using a broad range of technical, analytical and leadership skills
  • Assist with internal and external financial reporting activities of the Company, ensuring that all reporting is in compliance with local, state and federal regulations
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining Accounting Department processes and procedures
  • Perform all duties with a high level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Provide support for all accounting functions, as needed

Qualifications:

To qualify, candidates must have at minimum a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration (Masters of Business Administration, Certified Public Accounting license, or other advanced degree strongly preferred); a minimum five (5) years related experience in a construction, architectural or engineering firm is preferred; comprehensive knowledge of GAAP; strong written and oral communication skills; excellent organization and time management skills; strong attention to detail, accuracy and analytical skills; and proficient in MS Office Suite and accounting-related software.
