Our history
We continue to grow and serve our
clients with the same principles and values held by George Vogel when
he settled in Madison, Wisconsin in 1875 and started a wagon and cabinet
making shop. As wagon use declined, George entered the home building
business with his eldest son, Henry. George Jr. joined his brother and
father in the family business when he returned home from World War I.

The brothers incorporated
Vogel Bros. Building Co. in 1928 and George Jr. provided leadership
of the company for more than 40 years. In 1969, his son David assumed
the Presidency. Seeking to diversify, a branch operation opened in Lakeland,
Florida in 1980. In 1995, David's sons, Peter and Daniel acquired ownership
of the company. Peter became President of the Wisconsin Division and
Daniel became President of the Florida Division. Upon the unexpected
death of Daniel in December, 2004, Peter was named President of both
the Madison and Florida operations. David Vogel remains active in the
company as Chairman of the Board.
