"Halleluhiah!" was the cry from the congregation at Messiah Church when Pastor Jeff Vanden Heuvel turned the first shovel of dirt in a groundbreaking ceremony on Sunday July 19th.
Designed by Angus Young Architects of Janesville, the addition and renovation of Messiah Lutheran Church is driven from the simple concepts of the original 1960’s modern design.
The addition consists of a new sanctuary, which is connected to the old church by a new narthex and gathering space. The existing office area will be renovated into new offices, work room, and reception area. The lower level will include a new space for a future fellowship hal, kitchen, and storage. The addition will also include ADA restrooms on both levels and an elevator to make the entire addition and existing building accessible.
