Project Description

Sun Prairie’s Westside Community Service Building’s footprint conveys qualities of both permanence and lightness with a composition of brick, stone, aluminum and glass. The city’s EMS, Fire, Police and Parks Departments all share the three level, boomerang-shaped facility which is anchored by a 5,000 square foot community room. In addition to office space for each department, the facility includes an apparatus room, gear storage, watch room, and day room for the Fire Department, as well as sleeping quarters for the EMS team, and a large sally port with holding rooms for the Police Department.
