Sustainable Design and Construction
Vogel Bros has been practicing Sustainable Design and Construction before it was called "Green." As stewards of sustainable practices, we understand that sustainable living is not only about building responsibly, but also disposing responsibly. Sustainable design and construction practices are embedded into Vogel Bros. culture, including the goal of recycling 75% of construction waste at every Vogel Bros. job site.
Vogel Bros. incorporates environmentally responsible design into all of our projects. We believe this design approach can substantially reduce the environmental burden of renovation and new construction, while providing our clients with the benefits of reduced operating costs, increased occupant health, productivity and satisfaction, and stewardship of their surrounding community.
What is LEED®?
The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System™ encourages and accelerates global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices through the creation and implementation of universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria.
Our team works integrally with you to evaluate the cost and benefit relationship of achieving LEED certification. Certification may be valuable to you and your organization by providing recognition, enhancing your public image, and acting as an example to the community of good stewardship of resources. The LEED certification process often involves added expenses for document preparation and submission, and fees to provide that documentation. Our team will work with you to determine the value of spending your resources on certification versus spending money on other items such as program requirements, amenities for staff, or optional energy initiatives.
