Duties and Responsibilities (include the following, but other duties may be assigned):
Under the direction of the Office Manager, this detail-oriented person will be responsible for processing Accounts Payable for the Company and providing support for payroll. Our expectation is that, as a member of the Accounting Department Team, they will also provide back-up for other accounting staff members, as needed. They will use their skills and experience to:
- Timely and accurately process vendor invoices and employee expense reports
- Ensure all required information and data is properly entered into the Company’s accounting software program
- Assist as back-up for processing payroll
- Provide customer service for internal and external customers
- Comply with and help improve Accounting Department processes and procedures
- Perform all duties with a high level of discretion and confidentiality
To qualify, candidates must have at minimum a high school diploma and three (3) years of accounts payable or payroll experience (previous construction, architectural or engineering firm work experience is preferred); experience with daily accounting functions; strong written and oral communication skills; excellent organization and time management skills; strong attention to detail, accuracy and analytical skills; proficient in MS Office Suite and accounting-related software; and experience with computers and general office equipment.
