Currently, we are seeking an experienced jobsite Foreman to join Vogel Bros.’ Florida field operations. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in water and wastewater facility construction and will be able to work throughout the Orlando area.

In accordance with Vogel Bros.’ beliefs / values / mission / vision, and in direct support of the job Superintendent, a Foreman is responsible for the safety, quality of work, cost of work, schedule, labor, equipment and materials associated with the assigned work. The Foreman acts as the eyes and ears of the job Superintendent, helping to ensure that all work is carried out in a manner that exemplifies and promotes a safe, caring, and ethical culture.

Duties and Responsibilities (include the following, but other duties may be assigned):

  • Adhere to and assist with enforcement of Vogel Bros.’ Safety Program; local, state, and federal safety regulations; and jobsite-specific safety expectations.
  • Support the Superintendent in scheduling, coordinating, and completing all site activities.
  • Work with the entire project team to manage people, time, and equipment.
  • Help ensure high standards of craftsmanship, assembly, and cleanliness are met and maintained on jobsites.

Candidates must possess:

  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade.
  • In depth knowledge of and ability to use and maintain tools, materials, equipment, and practices of the water and wastewater construction trade.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret schedules, plans, and specifications.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers, including the ability to give clear verbal instructions.
  • Ability to efficiently manage time, equipment, and personnel.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and bend for full work days
  • Ability to use hands, arms, fingers, and to reach
  • Ability to work from heights
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 150 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 85 pounds without assistance

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to heat, cold, rain, and other outdoor weather conditions
  • Moderate to loud noise levels
  • High, precarious locations
  • Walking surfaces may be uneven and affected by weather and construction conditions
