Duties and Responsibilities (include the following, but other duties may be assigned):

  • Correspond with Design Team Members on a daily basis
  • Initiate, track and process responses to Requests for Information (RFI’s)
  • Solicit pricing for Construction Bulletins (CB’s)
  • Assist with change documentation and issuing change orders
  • Assist with Quality Control measures including review of concrete test reports, building details, maturity testing, etc.
  • Assist Job Superintendent with reports including time tracking and percent complete reports
  • Coordinate site deliveries
  • Update and maintain field drawings
  • Distribute all correspondence to subcontractors on site
  • Prepare meeting minutes for team, progress and pre-installation meetings
  • Coordinate site visits for local building inspectors
  • Take weekly job site pictures and assemble monthly reports
  • Assist with buyout
  • Solicit pricing and purchase commodity materials
  • Coordinate and manage close-out procedures

Job Requirements:

A.  Education & Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management and two years of related experience or equivalent education and experience

B.  Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Time management skills
  • Knowledge of construction safety requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both field and office personnel
  • Willingness to observe and learn various construction activities
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to comfortably navigate construction job sites
  • Functional knowledge of office equipment and computers

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 25 pounds without assistance
  • Ability to talk clearly in English and have hearing acuity sufficient to conduct normal business
  • Ability to navigate rough terrain without assistance (i.e. muddy, rocky job sites)

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to head, cold, rain and other outdoor weather conditions
