Vogel Bros. renovated the historic Federal Building which was built in 1919 and became Lakeland’s first post office. The building underwent its first renovation in 1931 where it was doubled in size. Vogel Bros. completed its most recent renovation which included some demolition work and repairs to the concrete, brick and cast stone. Repairs also included miscellaneous specialties such as rough carpentry, framing, wood work, insulation, and water-proofing. New windows and exterior doors were installed, the roof was replaced, and repairs to the mechanical systems, storm-sewer piping and electrical work were completed.
